SHE

At girl night a few years ago, I went to a class being offered at my friend Nicole's church. The class was being taught by scrap booking guru - Heidi Swapp. Heidi has designed her own scrap booking company and was teaching us how to create our own life by following her example of finding inspiration in the world around us. Her example was from a book that she came across at a book store in NYC by Kobi Yamada entitled "She". In it, Kobi gives different quotes on empowering your own life. Within each of us, there are limitless possibilities. Heidi encouraged each of the participants in the class to look for something to spark our imaginations. She then helped all of us create a scrap booking project to help us remember what we had learned. I was cleaning out my scrapbook closet today and came across the little book that I had made that night. It reminded me that I do have the power to create a life I love.

In order to do that I am writing about the life that I have lived. At least according to my journals. After I type in my journal entries of yesteryear, I am planning to store them away in a box instead of taking up valuable shelf space in my closet. I should just throw them away I guess, but my kids might want to see my handwriting someday after I am gone.

May

I hope that allergy meds keep working this well. On the suggestion of my friend Tim, I went to an allergist today and learned that I am allergic to Cedar and Juniper trees as well as mold, sagebrush and weeds. So I went to Walmart tonight to pick up the prescription meds and called to tell him they work great! My run this morning felt so good. Oh and I just remembered my bike time on Saturday up Porcupine hill was 5:57! I hope it is even faster tomorrow!

Love,

B

Promise's

I hope I can keep the Mother's promise I made after reading the 12 Secrets of Real Moms. I wrote them all down on an index card and put it in my kitchen journal for future reference.

Appreciate the Moment

I hope that I can always appreciate the moment like I did today. Ben & I got up early to go for a bike ride and it was so nice outside. What a beautiful way to wake up and see the world. Millcreek canyon was especially pretty and cool to ride up. Ben left early and

Sevie

I hope that Morgen is excited for Jr. High tomorrow. He seems like he is ready. Since he turned twelve and received the priesthood on his birthday which was on Sunday, he has seemed very mature. Although he was born mature, he is still my little buddy. We went down to the Gateway today and bought his some new clothes at Abercrombie as well as a cool necklace and cologne. He looks so grown up with his contacts and braces. I also ordered him a new backpack from Jeff at Ogio but it will be here tomorrow. He got his new shoes for his birthday and his haircut last week. He has been going to Young Men's on Wednesday nights and seems to enjoy it. Sometimes anyways. He also went to scout camp last weekend. What an adventurous boy.
